Autopsy Findings Point to Severe Trauma

According to the medical examination conducted by a two-member team, Deepika sustained multiple life-threatening injuries across her body. The report documented a blood clot in the brain, a ruptured spleen, and heavy internal bleeding. Doctors also found that the chambers of her heart were empty, indicating significant blood loss before death.

The autopsy further noted deep wounds, swelling, bruises, and pressure marks on several parts of her body. Investigators stated that the nature of the injuries suggested intense physical trauma rather than a minor accidental fall.

Detailed External Injuries Documented

Medical officials recorded swelling on the face, elbow, and forearm, along with deep wounds near the knee and lower abdomen. Large bluish contusions were found on the thigh and pelvic region, while circular injury marks were observed around one hand. Bleeding from the ear and abrasion marks on the chest and abdomen were also listed in the report.

Authorities said the post-mortem process was videographed to maintain transparency during the examination.

Family Claims Dowry Harassment Continued After Marriage

Deepika’s father, Sanjay Nagar, alleged that his daughter faced constant harassment over dowry demands after her wedding. He claimed that despite spending close to Rs 1 crore on the marriage, the demands continued from her husband’s family.

According to the complaint, the in-laws allegedly asked for a Toyota Fortuner SUV along with an additional Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh in cash. The family stated that they had already provided a Scorpio N vehicle and financial assistance on several occasions.

Sanjay Nagar told police that his daughter contacted him shortly before the incident, crying and describing physical assault related to dowry pressure. He visited her in-laws’ home earlier that evening in an attempt to settle the dispute.

Midnight Call Led Family to Hospital

The family said they later received a phone call around 12.30 am informing them that Deepika had fallen from the rooftop and had been taken to hospital. Her relatives were asked to reach the medical facility directly.

“When I reached the hospital, my daughter was already dead,” her father said while demanding strict punishment for those responsible.

Police registered a case based on the written complaint submitted by the victim’s family. Investigators are currently examining medical evidence, statements from relatives, and other circumstances surrounding the death.

Dowry Death Cases Raise Fresh Concerns

The incident has once again brought attention to recurring allegations of dowry-related violence in parts of Uttar Pradesh. Officials confirmed that further forensic analysis and witness statements are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The case also comes months after another alleged dowry death in Greater Noida, where a woman identified as Nikki Bhati reportedly died after being set on fire over financial demands made by her husband and in-laws.

Authorities said legal proceedings in Deepika Nagar’s case are continuing, and additional action may follow depending on the outcome of the investigation.
