Unusual rain in southern Israel, 18 mm of rain recorded
Tel Aviv: Southern Israel had unusual rainfall on Friday morning, with 18 millimeters falling between Arad and Sodom—a remarkable quantity for the area. Twenty millimeters of rain fell in Arad alone in the morning.

Due to floods, parts of Route 90—the route that connects Eilat’s Taba Border Crossing to Metula in the north—were therefore blocked to traffic in a number of southern regions. As the heavy rains continue, authorities are keeping an eye on the situation.
