Badakhshan: According to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS), Afghanistan was rocked by an earthquake on Saturday with a magnitude of 4.2.

According to the NCS, the earthquake struck northern Afghanistan at 5:05 AM Indian Standard Time (IST). On X, the information was likewise shared.

“EQ of M: 4.2, On: 11/01/2025 05:05:02 IST, Lat: 37.33 N, Long: 74.62 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Afghanistan.”

The magnitude 4.2 earthquake happened 10 kilometers below the surface, according to the National Centre of Seismology.
