On February 10, the Guwahati Police filed a formal complaint (FIR) alleging that a number of well-known YouTubers and influencers, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, Ranveer Allahabadia, and Samay Raina, were encouraging obscenity via their involvement in the event.

The FIR highlights the offensive and improper conversations that occurred during the incident in question and makes reference to charges under a number of laws, including the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act, and the Cinematograph Act.

Police investigators recorded Ashish Chanchlani’s testimony as part of the inquiry when he and his counsel appeared before the Guwahati Crime Branch on February 27.

The police filed a complaint under Cyber PS case number 03/2025, alleging that the defendants engaged in obscene behavior and promoted indecent representations of women.

The ‘India’s Got Latent’ legal case intensified on March 6 when the influencers appeared before Delhi’s National Commission for Women (NCW).

Influencer Apoorva Makhija, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahabadia, and the show’s producers Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari were among those in attendance.

Regarding the contentious comments made during the program, the group gave statements to the legal team and NCW Chairperson.

The scandal started when the public and internet users sharply criticized a show event that went viral, prompting demands for more stringent controls on online material.

There was a great deal of criticism over the show’s guests’ offensive remarks. Apoorva Makhija and Ranveer Allahabadia responded by recording their remarks in front of the NCW to address the matter.

YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani turned to social media throughout the current court struggle to thank his followers for their unwavering support.

He reflected on the challenging circumstances he was going through and thanked the words he had received in a touching video posted on Instagram.

“Hi, Doston Aap log kaise ho? I am aware that chal raha hai, maine aapke sms padhe hain. Lekin ab samajh nahi aa raha kya kahun, mesmerizing narrative pe aapse baat kar lun. In the video, Chanchlani said, “Lad lenge situation se, dekhe hain aise tough times, isse bhi kuch naya seekh lenge.”

When he starts publishing material again, he also appeals for the support of his fans. “Mujhe apni prayers mein rakhna, meri family aur aap sabse bas yahi request karta hoon ki. Lekin tab bhi support karna, mera kaam thoda idhar-udhar ho gaya hoga, jab bhi main wapas aaun. I’ve always worked hard, and I’ll work hard now. He said, “Bas dhyan rakhiye sab log apna.”

Ranveer Allahabadia, who was also a part of the incident, responded to the matter on social media in the meantime.

During an episode of ‘India’s Got Talent,’ Allahabadia made a really improper remark that caused a lot of outrage.

Allahabadia publicly apologized on his X (previously Twitter) account in reaction to the criticism.

Not only was my remark improper, it was also unfunny. I’m not good at comedy. In his video, Allahabadia said, “I am merely here to apologize.”

He also underlined his resolve to use his position more sensibly, especially considering his ability to sway younger people.

Allahabadia said, “The last thing that I would ever disrespect is family.” In a similar event, Ranveer Allahabadia has been given permission by the Supreme Court to continue his podcast, “The Ranveer Show,” subject to certain moral and decency requirements.
