Rahul Gandhi: Electoral system in India is dead

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, launched a scathing assault on the electoral system, claiming that “the election system in India is already dead” and that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were manipulated to give the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a slim majority.

Rahul said that the Congress Party will soon reveal proof to support its allegation that the votes were rigged while speaking at the party’s Annual Legal Conclave in New Delhi.

“We are going to prove to you in the coming days how a Lok Sabha election can be rigged and was rigged,” he said during the occasion. He said that the BJP has a very narrow majority in the most recent national elections.

In actuality, India’s electoral system is already extinct. The Prime Minister of India has a very narrow majority in Government. He would not have served as India’s prime minister if 15 seats had been rigged, according to the Lok Sabha LoP.

Gandhi said that former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was dispatched to “threaten” him while his party was opposing the three agricultural laws, which have since been overturned, while speaking to party leaders at the Congress Annual Legal Conclave 2025.

“I recall that Arun Jaitley ji was sent to me to frighten me while I was opposing the agricultural legislation. He warned me that “we will have to act against you if you continue to oppose the government and fight the farm laws.” “I don’t think you have an idea who you are talking to,” I responded, glancing at him.

Rahul Gandhi told reporters earlier this week in the Parliament building that the Congress party had discovered an “atom bomb” of evidence demonstrating widespread voter list manipulation.

“The Election Commission wasn’t assisting, so we went deep. We discovered an atom bomb. You won’t be able to see the Indian Election Commission when it blows up,” Gandhi said.

“There was suspicion in the Madhya Pradesh and Lok Sabha elections, and it grew in the Maharashtra assembly polls,” Gandhi said. We thought there was vote stealing at the state level.
