PM Narendra Modi arrives in Argentina, will hold talks with President Javier Milei
Buenos Aires: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Buenos Aires for a bilateral meeting with President Javier Milei of Argentina. According to PM Modi, strengthening ties with Argentina would be the main goal of his visit.

“Arrived in Buenos Aires for a bilateral visit that will focus on augmenting relations with Argentina,” he said in a post on X. I can’t wait to see President Javier Milei and have in-depth discussions with him.”
Randhir Jaiswal, the Ministry of External Affairs’ official spokesperson, said that this is the first time an Indian prime minister has visited Argentina bilaterally in 57 years.

On an official visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in the energetic metropolis of Buenos Aires, Argentina. When he arrived at the airport, he was given a formal greeting. A new chapter in India-Argentina relations has begun with this, the first bilateral visit by an Indian prime minister to Argentina in 57 years.

Argentina is the third stop in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-nation trip. He touched down in Buenos Aires at the Ezeiza International Airport. The president of the Republic of Argentina, Javier Milei, invited PM Modi to make an official visit to Argentina.
In order to assess current collaboration and explore methods to strengthen the India-Argentina relationship in important sectors such as defense, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, commerce and investment, and people-to-people links, PM Modi is expected to meet with President Milei in a bilateral meeting.
In an earlier statement outlining the PM’s schedule, Indian Ambassador to Argentina Ajaneesh Kumar informed ANI that PM Modi will be welcomed by the Indian community in Buenos Aires upon his arrival in Argentina. The next day, PM Modi will honor Jose de San Martin, who is considered the Father of the Argentine Nation, in Buenos Aires’ Plaza de San Martin. Additionally, PM Modi will speak with Argentine President Javier Milei at the delegation level.
