Fit India Pink Cyclothon Season flagged off in Delhi on the occasion of International Women’s Day
New Delhi: In honor of International Women’s Day, the Fit India Pink Cyclothon Season 2, dubbed “Shashakt Nari,” was inaugurated in Delhi.

“We want everyone, including men, women, and transgender people, to work towards promoting women’s health and fitness on the occasion of International Women’s Day,” Tahsin Zahid, CEO of the Sports, Physical Education, Fitness, and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC), told ANI. Although professional cycling is not being done here, we encourage families and the public to attend and support the event in the name of “Healthy Women Healthy Nation.”
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of women’s fitness and health, which will benefit society as a whole.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier honored “Nari Shakti,” highlighting the resilience and accomplishments of women.
PM Modi said in a post on X that women from a variety of professions will take over his social media accounts to highlight their accomplishments on the occasion.
“On #WomensDay, we give thanks to our Nari Shakti! Women’s empowerment has always been a priority for our government, and this is evident in our policies and initiatives. The Prime Minister said, “As promised, today, women who are making a difference in a variety of fields will take over my social media properties.”
Greetings to all women nationwide were sent by President Droupadi Murmu in her message on the occasion of International Women’s Day. “I send my warmest regards to all sisters and daughters on this International Women’s Day,” the President’s Secretariat said in a press statement.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated annually on March 8, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also thanked the state’s citizens, particularly the women’s leadership. He said that no society or country can fully grow without the collaboration of women’s strength. In Indian culture, women are seen as guides and sources of inspiration, and Shakti is venerated.
