As part of a turnaround plan to revive its company, BSNL said on Tuesday that it is in discussions with both domestic and international data storage businesses on how to make money off of its extensive land holdings. Telephone exchanges and office facilities are among the land assets that BSNL is considering selling off in many areas.

According to Chairman Robert K. Ravi, the corporation is looking for “innovative ways” to sell or rent out land holdings while also trying to increase operating savings. These include giving them to wind and solar energy firms that sell renewables to state governments, in addition to leasing them to data storage companies.
