Actor Anupam Kher recalls his early days of struggle and shares glimpses of those places

Anupam Kher, a seasoned Bollywood actor, has reached the milestone of 40 years in the business. He is now enjoying the glory of his most recent movie, “Vijay 69.”

The actor gave snippets of the locations he saw that shaped “who I am” and recounted his early days of hardship.

Kher posted a number of images on his Instagram account that are connected to his first employment and the location where he stayed while working on his first film, “Saaransh.”

“Life is a sum total of struggles, memories, and nostalgia,” he captioned the photo.I appreciate your appreciation for #Vijay69, which is now available on Netflix. It made me feel emotional, therefore I made the decision to travel to certain locations that had influenced who I am now.”

My third residence in the city is Casa Maria on St. Paul’s Road. I was residing on the first level at the time of Saaransh, my 1984 first movie.

The first job I had after arriving in Mumbai on June 3, 1981, was at an acting school. Then I learned that there was, in fact, no location, no facility, and no acting school! We were holding our courses on the shore.

Another alumnus of Juhu’s famed Prithvi Theatre is Anupam Kher.

*Juhu’s Prthvi Theatre: On June 3, 1981, I arrived in Mumbai and began my life at Prithvi. Arthur Miller’s play “A View from the Bridge” was adapted into Satish Kaushik’s play “Us Par Ka Nazara” at this same location.

“Look Back In Anger, Salgirah, and Kuch bhi ho sakta hai were performed in the first performance with Kirron Desire Under the Elms.

The ‘Vijay 69’ actor posted a picture of his first one-bedroom apartment, which he purchased in Juhu’s Kalumal Estatte.

*Kalumal Estate, Juhu:* This is the first one-bedroom apartment I purchased, B23 in Kalumal Estate, Juhu.

I resided at Shastri Nagar, Santacruz, along the Shastri Nagar Linking Road Extension, which runs from 82 to 83.

There were four of us living with me. There was no fan, so we slept on the floor! I will always remember those times.

‘Vijay 69’ has earned Kher plaudits for his performance.In the touching tale “Vijay 69,” a 69-year-old man called Vijay trains for a triathlon in defiance of social norms.

The YRF Entertainment movie, which was directed by Akshay Roy, debuted on Netflix on November 8.
