PM Modi outlines India’s ambitions on National Space Day
New Delhi:In his National Space Day speech to the nation on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is pursuing the construction of its own space station.

PM Modi said that India would soon establish an astronaut pool and cited the success of Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s space mission. He encouraged the young people to become involved in the project.
India is now making great strides in cutting-edge technology like electric propulsion and semi-cryogenic engines. alongside the efforts of all of you scientists, India will soon fly alongside Gaganyaan and construct its own space station,” PM Modi said.

“Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities” is the theme for this year’s National Space Day celebration.
“I met Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla only three days ago. By raising the tricolor aboard the International Space Station, he made all Indians feel proud. PM Modi said, “The feeling and the moment when he showed me the tricolor are indescribable.”
“I have seen the tremendous bravery and boundless aspirations of the young people of the new India during my conversation with Group Captain Shubhanshu. We will also prepare India’s astronaut pool to forward these aspirations. In order to support India’s aspirations, I’m inviting my young friends to join this astronaut pool on this Space Day,” he said.
