Despite Trump’s repeated assertions, New Delhi has categorically denied the accusation, emphasizing that Pakistan requested the ceasefire after heavy casualties in Operation Sindoor.

Trump reiterated his account on Saturday, saying, “With India and Pakistan, we were able to prevent a nuclear conflict. A nuclear war was about to break out.

Trump has said over 40 times that he was the one who “helped resolve” tensions between the two neighbors since he announced on social media on May 10 that Washington had mediated a “full and immediate” ceasefire between India and Pakistan after a “long night” of talks.

India has said on several occasions that direct discussions between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two armies produced the ceasefire deal with Pakistan.

Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed Parliament that India alone made the decision to terminate Operation Sindoor and that no foreign leader had any influence on that decision.

Regarding the continuing conflict in Ukraine, Trump informed reporters that he will make a “very important decision” within the next two weeks. This choice may include instructing Kyiv that “it’s not Washington’s war” or imposing “massive sanctions or tariffs” on Moscow.

Trump stressed the need for a face-to-face meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying, “In two weeks, we are going to know which way I am going… whether it’s massive sanctions or massive tarifight?”both, or do we do nothing and say it’s your fight.”

“It takes two to tango,” he saidhappenstwo were don’tople I wanted instructhat happened if they didn’t meet after I instructed them to dopre-wars;

ve settled seven wars and you think about pre-wars, that’ll be three, so ten wars,” the US president said. Not pleased at all. We will determine which direction it will go over the course of the following two weeks.

His remarks coincided with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Zelenskyy’s declaration that Putin is open to seeing Zelenskyy provided that all matters needing high-level discussion are resolved beforehand by ministries and specialists.
