Heavy rain again in Delhi-NCR, Meteorological Department issued red-orange alert in these states

New Delhi: Since late at night, Delhi and the neighboring regions have been experiencing heavy rain, which has provided some respite from the oppressive heat. However, several locations saw severe waterlogging. The Meteorological Department reports that light rain is possible in Delhi NCR until August 13. Following this, moderate rain is possible from August 14 to 17. This rain is only a trailer, in other words. In the next days, expect a lot of rain.

Rainfall is heavy in Delhi-NCR

Numerous locations, including India Gate, Akshardham, Rafi Marg, Nizamuddin, Minto Road, ITO, and Noida, are still experiencing heavy rain. Numerous locations are also experiencing waterlogging. On Tuesday, thunderstorms and rain are possible, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). It is anticipated that the temperature will reach a high of 34 degrees Celsius and a low of 25 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the Meteorological Department has forecast severe rains (more than 15 mm/hour) with thunderstorms and lightning in the following locations: Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Jammu, and Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. In these regions, surface wind speeds may reach up to 40–60 kmph. A red warning has been issued for this area by the Meteorological Department.

In certain districts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, thunderstorms and lightning are also anticipated. The maximum surface wind speed is 41 to 61 kmph (in the form of strong gusts), and there will be moderate rainfall (5-15 mm/hour). Here, an orange warning has been issued.
