Uttarakhand flash floods cause building collapse, killing 4 people
Uttarakhand: In the Uttarkashi region of Uttarakhand, the Dharali hamlet had a flash flood on Tuesday, destroying homes and raising concerns about potential casualties, according to authorities.

Properties suffered significant damage as a result of the flood. Reports of individuals being buried behind debris have also surfaced. Another video showed buildings crumbling and residences being engulfed by rushing water. Horrible sights played out in front of the residents’ eyes, and they could be heard pleading for their protection.
According to an NDTV report, the cloudburst caused at least four fatalities and almost fifty missing persons.
Residents were advised by Uttarkashi Police to avoid the river.

“In Uttarkashi, reports of damage in Dharali have prompted police, SDRF, the army, and other disaster response teams to conduct relief and rescue operations at the site due to the rising water level of Kheer Gad in the Harsil area.” Everyone should keep a safe distance from the river in light of this tragedy. The police tweeted, “Make sure you, your kids, and your animals are kept a safe distance from the river.”
The Rescue Operation Began
According to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a rescue effort has been mandated. In order to conduct the rescue effort, the Indian Army has also been called in.
“A cloudburst incidence in Dharali, Uttarkashi, has come to my attention. Our goal is to save the lives of the people.” The Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, and District administration officials are working to save and rescue people,” he told news agency ANI.
There have been reports of damage in the Dharali market region due to rising water levels in the Khir Ganga river. Officials said that police, SDRF, and army personnel from Harsil had been sent to Bhatwari.
State Minister Saurabh Bahuguna told reporters that the government’s first goal is to rescue the lives of anyone who may be trapped in the rubble. He also expressed sadness over the terrible occurrence.
It’s a very depressing occurrence. The search and rescue mission has begun. Saving the lives of those stranded there is our first concern. NDRF and SDRF are en route to the site.
Suresh Semwal, an eyewitness, claims that the flash flood destroyed a number of hotels.
“This place is in terrible shape. The rapid flood has destroyed a number of hotels. In this region, over fifty hotels are completely underwater. He informed the journalists, “A number of villagers are also trapped.”
