Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the indigenous weapons used during Operation Sindoor
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that Brahmos Missiles will soon be produced in Lucknow and praised India’s indigenous weaponry employed in Operation Sindoor.

PM Modi praised India’s air defense system for thwarting Pakistani drones and missiles during the military operation while speaking at a public gathering in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
“The world witnessed the capabilities of our indigenous weapons during Operation Sindoor,” he remarked. The might of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ has been shown by our drones, missiles, and air defense systems, particularly the Brahmos missiles. Now, Brahmos missiles will be produced in Lucknow.
Major defense corporations are establishing their industrial facilities in the UP defense corridor, the prime minister underlined.
“The UP defense corridor is seeing the establishment of production facilities by several significant defense companies. “Our forces will soon be strengthened by weapons made in India,” he said.
In addition, Prime Minister Modi praised Operation Sindoor and said that, with Lord Mahadev’s help, he exacted revenge for the Pahalgam terror attack’s defeat.
The success of Operation Sindoor was dedicated to Lord Mahadev by Prime Minister Modi at his 51st visit to Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency.
“This is my first visit to Kashi since Operation Sindoor,” PM Modi said. In Pahalgam, terrorists brutally murdered 26 defenseless villagers. Sadness filled my heart. With Mahadev’s grace, I fulfilled my vow to get retribution for my daughters’ sindoor. I give Mahadev’s feet the credit for Operation Sindoor’s success.”
He promised that no one would escape punishment for meddling with India.
PM Modi stated, “Mahadev dons his ‘Rudra roop’ when injustice and terror are present.” Operation Sindoor exposed this side of India to the world. ‘Pataal lok’ would not spare anybody who tampers with India.
On May 7, the Indian military launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the April 22 terror assault in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
