TCS – A major investigation into alleged misconduct at a prominent IT firm’s Nashik office has taken a new turn, with one of the accused reportedly seeking legal protection while remaining out of reach of authorities. According to family members, the woman in question is currently in Mumbai and expecting her first child, a factor that may influence her legal plea.

Accused Seeks Anticipatory Bail Amid Ongoing Search
The 25-year-old employee, who joined the company’s business process outsourcing unit in 2021, has approached a Nashik court requesting anticipatory bail. Sources indicate that her pregnancy has been cited as a key ground in her application. Meanwhile, officials are working to confirm these claims through medical verification as efforts continue to locate her.
Law enforcement agencies have intensified their search, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) closely monitoring developments in the case.
Multiple Complaints Trigger Detailed Investigation
The case stems from a series of complaints filed by employees at the Nashik office, alleging sexual misconduct and coercive practices, including forced religious actions. Authorities have registered nine complaints so far, prompting a wider probe into workplace conduct.
Seven individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case. Among them are six male employees and a woman who held a senior human resources position. All those arrested have since been suspended pending further inquiry.
Allegations of Harassment and Negligence
The complaints, primarily filed by women employees, describe a pattern of inappropriate behavior spanning several years, from early 2022 to March 2026. The allegations include mental harassment, unwanted physical advances, and offensive remarks targeting personal and marital aspects of the complainants’ lives.
In one instance, investigators said an accused individual allegedly maintained a physical relationship with a colleague under the false promise of marriage. Other complaints detail incidents of inappropriate touching and repeated verbal misconduct.
Employees also claimed that their concerns were repeatedly raised with senior officials but were not addressed. According to police statements, this lack of action may have contributed to the continuation of such behavior within the workplace.
Claims of Religious Coercion Surface
In addition to harassment allegations, investigators are examining claims involving religious coercion. One complaint alleges that an employee was pressured to perform religious practices against his will, accompanied by derogatory remarks about his beliefs.
These claims have added another dimension to the investigation, prompting authorities to examine workplace culture and internal response mechanisms more closely.

The company has issued a statement emphasizing its strict stance against any form of harassment or coercion. It stated that immediate action was taken once the matter came to light, including suspending the employees under investigation.
