World leaders expressed condolences to India after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir
London: Following Tuesday’s terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, foreign leaders sent their condolences to India. The terrorist incident in Kashmir was described as “utterly devastating” by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who also expressed his sympathy for the victims and the Indian people.

“Today’s terrible terrorist incident in Kashmir is really heartbreaking. My sympathies are with the impacted individuals, their families, and the Indian populace,” Starmer said on X.
Olaf Scholz, the chancellor of Germany, denounced the terrorist strike on visitors in Pahalgam. He sent his condolences to the Indian people and wished everyone hurt in the incident a quick recovery.

Mette Frederiksen, the prime minister of Denmark, denounced all acts of terrorism and pledged solidarity for India. She also sent her sympathies to the attack victims and their loved ones.

“Pahalgam has terrible news,” said PM Mette Frederiksen. Denmark firmly opposes any acts of terrorism and supports India. The Danish PM’s office posted on X, “Our condolences to the victims of the attack and their families and loved ones.”
Irfaan Ali, the president of Guyana, conveyed his sorrow upon hearing of the terrorist strike in Kashmir. He emphasized that the “heinous act of violence” is a heartbreaking reminder of the catastrophic consequences of extremism and denounced the vicious assault. He conveyed his belief that the perpetrators of the assault would face consequences.
“The news of the latest terrorist assault in Kashmir, which has claimed many lives and wounded several more, saddens me much. The terrible effects of fanaticism are tragically brought home by this horrible act of violence. I categorically denounce this vicious assault, which does nothing except to cause pain and terror. Violence just serves to prolong a cycle of suffering and loss; it is never a solution. Irfaan Ali wrote on X, “We must work together to create a future free from such atrocities, pursuing peace and understanding.”

Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, said that Europe supports India. She said she is certain that India’s spirit is “unbreakable” and would persevere during this difficult time.
“So many innocent lives were lost in today’s heinous terror incident in Pahalgam. My sincerest sympathies go out to @narendramodi and all the Indian hearts that are in mourning today. However, I am aware of India’s indomitable spirit. You’ll persevere through this struggle. Europe will also support you. On X, Ursula von der Leyen made a post.
There is no excuse for violence, according to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who also denounced the terrorist assault on people in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I am shocked by the horrific terror attack on innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir overnight,” Albanese said in a post on X. Australia condemns this brutality, which has no justification. Our thoughts and prayers are with the wounded, the bereaved, and everyone in Australia affected by this awful news.
Australia’s Foreign Minister, Penny Wong, said on X, “My thoughts are with all those affected by the horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Republican politician and Indian-origin businessman Vivek Ramaswamy expressed his sympathies to the victims’ families.
He said in a post on X, “This assault was horrifying. We offer our sympathies to the families of the deceased and offer our prayers for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
Winston Peters, the Foreign Affairs Minister of New Zealand, denounced the terrorist strike in Kashmir and extended assistance to India at this trying time.
“The terrorist strike in Kashmir is strongly condemned by New Zealand. We extend our sincere sympathies to the Indian community, the victims, and their families. “We support our Indian friends during this trying time,” Peters wrote on X.
Margus Tsahkna, Estonia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, denounced the Pahalgam terrorist incident. According to him, Estonia opposes all types of terrorism and acts of violence against defenseless populations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus expressed its complete sympathy with the Indian people and denounced the heinous assault in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Cyprus categorically condemns the heinous #Pahalgamterroristattack in #Jammu and #Kashmir,” the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X. We pledge our unwavering support for the Indian government and populace. The relatives of the victims and everyone hurt are in our prayers and thoughts.
Concerned by the assault on visitors in Pahalgam, the Ukrainian Embassy in India said that those responsible should face consequences.
Ukraine is very alarmed by the assault on visitors in Pahalgam, J&K. Every day we see the death toll from terrorism, and we strongly denounce terrorism in all of its manifestations. Murdering innocent people causes excruciating suffering. It is important to hold those responsible accountable,” the Ukrainian Embassy said on X.
Abdulnasser Alshaali, the UAE’s ambassador to India, expressed sympathy to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist assault and wished for the quick recovery of those hurt in the incident.
“The victims of the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, have my deepest sympathies. I’m thinking about the Indian people. In a post on X, Alshaali said, “I pray for the injured’s quick and complete recovery.”
The foreign ministry of Sri Lanka expressed sympathy to the victims’ families and denounced the terrorist act in Pahalgam. It conveyed support for the Indian government and people in the battle against terrorism in all of its manifestations.
“Sri Lanka strongly condemns the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir today,” the country’s foreign ministry said in a post on X. We send our deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and hope that everyone who was hurt recovers quickly.
“In the battle against terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations, Sri Lanka remains steadfastly united with the Indian government and people. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to regional security and peace,” it said.
Following the terror incident in Pahalgam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah presided over a high-level security conference with all the agencies on Tuesday. The Home Minister arrived in Srinagar for the security assessment meeting in the evening.
The Union Home Minister was also updated by Omar Abdullah, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, on the terrorist assault in Pahalgam. High-ranking officials, including LG Manoj Sinha, are also in attendance.
To find the attackers, the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police have begun a search in the Baisran, Pahalgam, and Anantnag general region. Locals protested the terrorist assault on tourists in Pahalgam by holding candle marches in a number of locations around Jammu and Kashmir.
Notably, after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman abruptly ended their international trips.
