US President Donald Trump reiterated his stance of encouraging manufacturers to make equipment in the US
Washington, DC: US President Donald Trump reaffirmed his commitment to pressuring companies to make electronics domestically. While signing a number of important executive orders, including one on bringing in nuclear energy, he made the statements on Friday (US local time).

“It would be more; it would also be Samsung and anybody that makes that product, otherwise it wouldn’t be fair,” Trump said in a statement to the media about the problem of having iPhones made in the US. Therefore, whoever manufactures the stuff. He said that there would be no tariffs if the factories were located in the United States.
“There is no tariff when they establish their facility here. Here, they’re constructing plants, but I agreed with Tim Cook that he wouldn’t be doing this. “I’m going to India to build plants,” he added. I responded, “Going to India is fine, but you won’t sell here without tariffs.” And it’s just that way.”
Trump said that he was certain that costs will not skyrocket for American consumers since the majority of the job is computerized. “A lot of it’s so computerized now,” he remarked.
Even if they are beautiful to look at, these plants are capable of doing that. Apple is expected to contribute $500 billion. The chip makers are also entering the market. They are spending the largest amounts—500 billion, 200 billion, and 250 billion dollars. Now, however, we are discussing the iPhone. Additionally, I would prefer that the iPhone be manufactured in the US if it were to be sold in the US. They can do it.
Earlier on Friday, Trump threatened to impose a 25% import tax on Apple if its mobile devices sold in the US are not made inside the nation’s borders.
“I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else,” US President Donald Trump said in a social media post on his Truth Social.
“If not, Apple is required to pay the United States a tariff of at least 25%.” I appreciate your consideration of this issue,” he said in the message.
“Billions of dollars have been paid to Harvard University,” Trump stated in reference to his administration’s decision to prohibit the university from accepting overseas students. How absurd is that? Additionally, they have an endowment of USD 52 billion. Harvard will need to make some adjustments.
The White House said earlier Thursday that “Enrolling foreign students is a privilege, not a right.” The Harvard administration was charged with transforming “their once-great institution into a hotbed of anti-American, anti-Semitic, pro-terrorist agitators.”
The Trump administration and Harvard have been at odds for months as the administration wants the university to end on-campus antisemitism and “racist ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ practices.” It also wants the university to change its hiring and programming policies. Because it thinks they participated in the controversial campus demonstrations against the Israel-Hamas conflict, the administration has targeted international workers and students.
“Unleash nuclear energy in the U.S. as part of the administration’s effort to secure the energy future of America and unleash American energy dominance” was the statement released by the White House during the signing of executive orders.
In a separate statement, the White House said that in an effort to restore public confidence in the country’s scientific enterprise, US President Trump recently issued an executive order establishing Gold Standard Science.
