US President Donald Trump defends his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
Washington, D.C: Following accusations that the Pentagon chief communicated information about impending operations in Yemen on a Signal group that included his wife, brother, and personal attorney, US President Donald Trump has publicly defended his defense secretary, Pete Hegseth.

Since the initial Signal group conversation was leaked and Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic was inadvertently included, exposing crucial military preparations, Hegseth has been under increasing pressure to resign.
Trump Supports Hegseth
Trump tried to blame “disgruntled employees” when he was questioned about Hegseth’s future at Monday’s traditional Easter egg roll ceremony at the White House.
“I suppose it sounds like unhappy workers. He was placed there, you know, to get rid of a lot of terrible individuals, and he’s doing just that. So, when you do that, you don’t always have pals. Referring to the March 15 attacks on the Houthis in Yemen, Trump told reporters, “Ask the Houthis; there is a lot of dysfunction.”
Trump’s comments followed the White House’s denial of rumors that it was looking for a new defense secretary.
“Based on a single anonymous source who obviously doesn’t know what they’re talking about, this @NPR story is complete FAKE NEWS.” In an X tweet, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said, “As the President stated this morning, he stands strongly behind @SecDef.”
“Disgruntled Former Employees” are the blame Pete Hegseth places on
Hegseth also accused the media and “disgruntled former employees” of trying to damage his name.
It’s shocking that once a few leakers are dismissed, a number of sensational articles from the same media outlets that promoted the Russia hoax appear. The media acts in this way. They strive to cut and burn individuals and destroy their reputations after using anonymous sources from unhappy former workers, Hegseth said.
