“Russia always stands with India, and in such a tragedy, we have expressed our sympathies,” Singh said in an interview with the media report. It has also been communicated by our president. If assistance is required, we are prepared to provide it in any manner we can. The assault on tourists (in Pahalgam) has shocked even the average person here. Everything now hinges on how the diplomats from Pakistan and India handle this circumstance. It will be more beneficial to resolve the matter diplomatically.

Even if the assailants may be hiding abroad, he called the tragedy tragic and appalling and asked the Indian government to act to bring them to justice.

“It’s a very sad incident and a big shock for the entire world,” Singh remarked. Every religion coexists in a society, yet murdering someone based only on their faith causes a great rift in the community. There must be a strong reaction to killing innocent people. Even if the perpetrators are hiding in another nation, the Indian government needs to prosecute them.

On April 22, terrorists assaulted visitors in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Meadow, killing 25 Indians and one Nepali while injuring a number of others.

Following the terror attack, the Central government announced a number of diplomatic actions, including closing the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Attari, suspending Pakistani nationals’ access to the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES), allowing them to return to their country within 40 hours, and lowering the number of officers in both sides’ High Commissions.

“The Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has proclaimed its Defence/Military, Naval, and Air Advisors Persona Non Grata. They may depart India in a week. The Indian High Commission in Islamabad will no longer have its own Defense, Navy, and Air Advisors.

These positions are considered revoked in their respective High Commissions. Additionally, five of the Service Advisors’ support workers would be removed from both High Commissions, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.

Additionally, he said that the Attari Integrated Check Post would be shut down immediately. Following the Pahalgam assault, India also terminated the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty.

Nationwide indignation has been triggered by the occurrence, and rallies calling for tougher sanctions against Pakistan for the Pahalgam assault have broken out all throughout the nation.
