Russia and Ukraine could reach a peace deal this week to end the ongoing war: Donald Trump
Washington, DC: President Donald Trump of the United States has voiced hope that Russia and Ukraine would reach a peace deal this week to put an end to the conflict. Trump said on Sunday (local time) on his media platform Truth Social that both countries will be able to “make a fortune” by doing business with the US when they come to an agreement.

It is hoped that Russia and Ukraine will reach an agreement this week. After that, both will begin doing large business with the thriving United States of America and profit,” Trump stated.
As part of a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, the US is willing to acknowledge Russian rule over Crimea, CNN reported on Friday, citing an official familiar with the proposed framework.
An immediate ceasefire between the two nations is part of the peace agreement. In Paris on Thursday, the framework was presented to European and Ukrainian authorities.
According to the source, the US intends to collaborate with Europe and Ukraine on this next week in London, but there are still certain gaps that need to be addressed.
After a military invasion, Russia seized Crimea in 2014; the international community strongly denounced this action as unlawful.
According to CNN, Donald Trump has hinted that if either party makes talks too challenging, the US may “take a pass” on its attempts to mediate a peace agreement.
“We’re simply going to say, ‘You’re silly, you’re foolish,’ if one of the two sides makes things really difficult for anyone. Trump said, “We’re just going to take a pass because you’re terrible people.”
According to CNN, Trump voiced cautious hope about reaching an agreement despite the warning. “I believe our chances of finishing it are really high. Right now, it’s coming to a head,” he said.
