President Michael D. Higgins condemned the attack on Indians in Ireland
Ireland Indian Attack: Indians have recently been attacked in Ireland. Michael D. Higgins, the president of Ireland, seems to be upset by these assaults. He vehemently denounced these assaults on Tuesday, calling them repulsive and a violation of the nation’s principles. According to him, Irish individuals of Indian descent have enhanced the country’s social and cultural life in addition to being a significant component of its identity. “Their contribution in medicine, nursing, care, culture, business, and entrepreneurship has been a boon to our shared life,” President Higgins said in a statement, expressing his sincere thanks to the Indian community.

His remarks coincide with a rise in national worries around racial violence. Many persons of Indian descent have been targeted in recent weeks. The Indian Embassy was forced to issue a security-related alert as a result of the situation. Indian people were cautioned to stay away from abandoned locations. In his remarks, the President mentioned the two nations’ common history of the liberation fight and the founding of the All India Women’s Conference by Irishwoman Margaret Cousins. “This type of violence denigrates all of us and obscures the innumerable advantages that the Indian people have bestowed upon this nation,” he remarked.
Additionally, poison was shared on social media
Social media messages about hatred and violence were also seen as poison for Ireland’s hospitality and friendship traditions. According to him, everyone in Ireland should be treated with the same welcome and kindness so that all groups may coexist in safety, respect, and dignity. Concerns have been raised by a number of violent episodes in recent weeks.
Indians attacked
Three weeks after arriving in Talahat, Dublin, a 40-year-old Amazon employee was assaulted by a juvenile group on July 19. The victim’s clothing was ripped, he was pummeled, and he was stabbed in the face. It may be a hate crime, according to the police. In the video, Jennifer Murray, an Irish lady who rescued the guys, said that the group had stabbed at least four Indian men and another man in the face. She claimed that the victim’s face was permanently deformed and that he had to get a brain scan.
