Donald Trump: Doing everything possible with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to prevent Russia-Ukraine conflict

Washington, DC: According to US President Donald Trump, he and Russian President Vladimir Putin were doing all in their power to attempt to halt the crisis between Russia and Ukraine. Speaking at the Kennedy Center Board Dinner on Tuesday, Trump said that his negotiations with Putin were moving along.

“I’ll start by telling you about my brief encounter with Vladimir Putin, a kind guy. However, we had a productive conversation, and I believe that things are moving forward. “On average, 5,000 young soldiers are killed every week,” he said.

Trump referred to the war between Russia and Ukraine as a “bloodbath.”

“Isn’t that unbelievable? Five thousand! Moreover, in addition to other persons being slain in towns, the figure is really possibly worse than that. Our goal is to prevent it. “It’s a complete carnage,” he said.

The president of the United States said that he is doing all he can and that satellite images demonstrate the immense devastation.

“I’ve seen very terrible satellite images.” To think that we’re doing the best we can in this day and age while dealing with this terrible thing that’s happening,” he remarked.

Trump went on to say that even if the battle had nothing to do with the US, he was still participating in it. He went on to say that he was also a part of the Middle East war, which was not a US-led battle.

“We did not start this conflict. Something from the previous government is being implemented. How did they let it occur? It would never have occurred. Another thing that would not have occurred is that October 7th would not have occurred. It was a horrible situation. In the last four years, a lot of negative things have also occurred, but now positive things are occurring,” he said.

Trump went into more detail about his most recent trip to the Middle East. He claimed to have made investments totaling USD 1.5 trillion as a result of the tour. During his visit, Trump also received orders for Boeing aircraft.

“The trip to the Middle East was fantastic.” We traveled to Qatar. We visited Saudi Arabia and all of the UAE’s elite, and we returned with almost USD 5.1 trillion. That’s not terrible at all, and it’s considered to be one of the most effective visits anybody has ever made. This has never happened before: hundreds of large, wide-bodied aircraft have been ordered. Boeing is providing them, but there is a large order of 148 aircraft—a lot of 777s. For the 787 Dreamliners and orders of everything, they are the major ones. AI is exploding. Some people will be rather disappointed if it’s not as fantastic as people claim, but I hope it is,” he remarked.

According to the New York Times, President Trump stated during a two-hour phone conversation with Putin on Monday that the Russian leader had committed to “immediately” beginning direct talks with Ukraine in order to reach a cease-fire and a more comprehensive peace agreement to end the conflict.

According to the publication, Trump changed his mind about demanding that Russia immediately announce a cease-fire in Ukraine and instead supported Putin’s proposal for talks between Russia and Ukraine.
