At least 13 people were injured when a car plowed into a crowd outside a stadium in Spain
Barcelona: According to local officials cited by CNN, a vehicle crashed into a crowd outside a stadium in Spain where a soccer match between FC Barcelona and Espanyol was taking place, injuring at least 13 people.

CNN was informed by the Catalan Police that the event was an “accidental collision.” The police sent a statement on social media that said, “The situation is under control and in no case poses a risk to the people inside the sports facility.”
Thirteen individuals were receiving treatment for their injuries, according to Catalonia’s emergency services.
“The injured people are being treated by emergency services and the driver of the vehicle has been arrested,” said Catalan Police in a follow-up post shortly after the incident. According to the authorities, “There is a large police presence in the area.”
A white automobile seems to be driving through a gathering of people in a park near the stadium in videos that went viral on social media and were geolocated by CNN. Nine persons suffered “minor injuries,” and four others were in “less than serious” circumstances, according to an emergency services post on X.
According to CNN, FC Barcelona won the game 2-0 and won La Liga for the 2024–25 season. For over a century, Barcelona and Espanyol have been involved in a fierce rivalry that often touches on Spanish politics. While Spanish state loyalists often support Espanyol, Catalan nationalists choose FC Barcelona.
