Uttarakhand government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched ‘Operation Prahar’
Dehradun: According to an official statement from the Uttarakhand CMO, the Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, initiated “Operation Prahar,” which has sent a message not only to the state but also to the whole country.

Operation Prahar has become a model in and of itself, dealing cybercriminals a severe blow. Major raids were carried out simultaneously in 17 states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala, Goa, and others, for the first time in the nation’s history, under the leadership of the Uttarakhand Police. The announcement claims that in this comprehensive and planned effort, severe measures were used against over 290 cybercriminals.
This wasn’t your typical police operation. It is the result of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s vision and audacious choices, which were initiated after a significant cyberattack. CM Dhami said that cybercriminals will no longer be secure after the state was attacked by hackers a few months ago. By reorganizing cyber police stations and growing intelligence networks, he strengthened the police force.
This directly led to Operation Prahar, which demonstrated that Uttarakhand is now not only a hub for pilgrimages and tourism but also a model state in combating cybercrime, thanks to the collaboration of the state police, other state agencies, and the federal government.
Chief Minister Dhami’s excellent governance approach is evident in his deeds as well as in his plans and declarations. All three levels exhibit responsibility for governance, openness, and activism under his direction. This successful move has shown the Uttarakhand Police’s effectiveness on a national scale, but it has also demonstrated Chief Minister Dhami’s strong leadership and capacity to make decisions quickly.
