Uttar Pradesh government announced a relief of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in lightning incidents
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government announced financial aid for the relatives of those killed in lightning strikes and thunderstorms around the state. The families of those who passed away were instructed to get the Rs 4 lakh in allowable relief money right away.

The Relief Commissioner Headquarters said that 15 dwellings were destroyed, 45 animals were slaughtered, and 22 persons perished on Thursday.
The districts of Fatehpur and Azamgarh had three fatalities from the lightning; Firozabad, Kanpur Dehat, and Sitapur saw two, while Ghazipur, Gonda, Amethi, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Siddharth Nagar saw one apiece.
One person each died in Ballia, Kannauj, Barabanki, Jaunpur, and Unnao as a result of the storm.
17 homes in the Ghazipur district, six in Chandauli, five in Ballia, three each in Ambedkarnagar, Balrampur, and Gonda, two in Sultanpur, and one each in Amethi, Kannauj, and Gorakhpur suffered damage as a result of storms and lightning.
In Fatehpur, three animals perished in a fire. Additionally, one home each in Ballia, Gonda, Barabanki, Ambedkarnagar, Gorakhpur, Auraiya, Hardoi, Lucknow, and Mau, as well as two houses each in the Ghazipur, Sultanpur, and Lakhimpur Kheri districts, were destroyed by storms and lightning.
Compensation of Rs 37,500 for the loss of a big milch animal, Rs 4,000 for the loss of a small milch animal, etc., Rs 32,000 for the loss of a large non-milch animal, and Rs 20,000 for the loss of a small non-milch animal is provided.
To help the impacted families, the state government has taken action. Authorities took the required preparations after the India Meteorological Department predicted rains and thunderstorms in the area.
From April 10 to 11, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a partly overcast sky with one or two rain or thundershower episodes for Lucknow.
