Uttar Pradesh ATS arrests Khalistan Commando Force member Mangat Singh alias Manga
Noida: According to a police statement, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) took Mangat Singh, also known as Manga and a member of the outlawed Khalistan Commando Force, into custody from a hamlet near Amritsar, Punjab.

The UP ATS and Shahabad Police Station team worked together to apprehend the Khalistani terrorist, who had been evading capture since 1995 and had a reward of Rs 25,000 for his capture.
Late on Wednesday evening, the Uttar Pradesh ATS took Mangat Singh, also known as Manga, a terrorist from the Khalistan Commando Force (KCA), a proscribed terrorist organization, into custody. On his head was a prize of Rs 25,000. He was taken into custody by a combined Noida and Ghaziabad police force, according to the statement.
The allegation asserts that Mangat Singh’s release on bond in 1995 followed his detention in 1993. Since then, he has been evading capture.
The accusation against Mangat Singh was that he tried to kill someone. The unrelated robbery and extortion case also sought his involvement.
Mangat Singh’s brother, Sangat Singh, led the banned Khalistan Commando Force. The authorities claim that they killed him in 1990 following a confrontation with the Punjab authorities.
Harpreet Singh, a terrorist implicated in assaults in Punjab, was taken into custody by the US FBI and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) earlier on April 22.
According to the FBI, Harpreet Singh entered the US illegally and is associated with two foreign terrorist organizations. The FBI claims that he avoided capture by using burner phones.
“The FBI and ERO in Sacramento arrested Harpreet Singh, an alleged terrorist who was responsible for terror attacks in Punjab, India,” FBI Sacramento said in a post that was shared on X. He entered the United States illegally and was associated with two foreign terrorist organizations. He avoided capture by using burner phones.
The arrest of Harpreet Singh, also known as Happy Passia, was praised by Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, who called it a “major milestone” in the fight against terror networks supported by Pakistan’s ISI.
According to DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav, “The arrest of Harpreet Singh alias Happy Passia, a USA-based key operative of ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and close associate of Pakistan-based Terrorist Rinda, is a major milestone in the sustained crackdown on ISI-backed terror networks.”
The arrest by the FBI and ICE was also attributed to “excellent international cooperation” and information sharing between the United States and India, according to the Punjab Director General of Police.
