The senior superintendent of police (SSP), Shlok Kumar, said that the inspection was a part of an effort to confirm the legitimacy and identification of laborers employed in the district’s rural areas.

About 90 persons were discovered to be Bangladeshi citizens when the PS Nauhjheel team checked the kilns in Khajpur village. They’ve all been arrested and are being interrogated. SSP Kumar told the media report on Friday that there are 28 children, 27 women, and 35 males.

“They claimed to have arrived in Mathura three to four months ago; prior to that, they were residing in a neighboring state,” he said. A thorough questioning is underway. The information has also been communicated to other agencies. They are interrogating them as well.

The Uttar Pradesh administration had already begun a more aggressive campaign to find and expel Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators who were living in the state.

According to the authorities, measures have previously been taken against unlawfully dwelling Pakistani nationals, and now Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants are the target of the same attention. In several state districts, authorities have noticed that many of these people live under false names.

To speed up the identification process, directives have been sent to Police Commissioners, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and area Magistrates in every area.

Operations against illegal and unauthorized buildings along the India-Nepal border are also taking place at the same time.

A CMO statement claimed that Uttar Pradesh was the first state in the nation to send all of its Pakistani residents back. The repatriation of Pakistani nationals is supervised by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally. Notably, during the last several days, such measures have been implemented in a number of states around the country.
