Eknath Shinde, the deputy chief minister, traveled to Kashmir himself and made a concerted effort to attract as many visitors as he could. As a consequence, four planes have been scheduled so far, safely returning 520 visitors to Mumbai.

Many of our stranded travelers, who were worn out, nervous, and strong, were people I met. Seeing their spirits rise just because their government was on the ground with them was encouraging. I’m here to support them, comfort them, and personally arrange for their safe return home—not only as Deputy CM, but as a fellow Maharashtrian,” Shinde said.

75 passengers were on board the first of these aircraft, which was run by the private carrier Star Airlines, and it left for Mumbai at 1:00 AM last night. On Thursday, two planes operated by Akasa Air left Srinagar at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, returning with 370 tourists. At 7 PM, the first of them touched down in Mumbai, and at around 9 PM, the second. In order to guarantee the safe return of these visitors to their homes, Shiv Sena has organized special buses.

Another Star Airlines aircraft, with 75 people, also left around 8 PM on Thursday and is anticipated to reach Mumbai late at night. Shiv Sena has so far succeeded in facilitating the safe return of 520 visitors.

The administration is still working in Jammu and Kashmir under the direction of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, with the goal of securely resettling as many tourists as possible.

In India, terrorists assaulted visitors in the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing up to 26 people and injuring a number more. Since the 2019 Pulwama incident, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans, it was one of the bloodiest strikes to hit the valley. India has taken serious action against Pakistan for its backing of cross-border terrorism in the wake of the incident.
