Kulgam Operation: Anti-terror operation continues for the 7th consecutive day in Akhal forest area of Kulgam
Kulgam Operation: Today marks the seventh day of the continuing conflict with terrorists in the Akhal forest region of the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. This encounter is regarded as the longest anti-terror operation in recent years, having begun on August 1. This coordinated operation against the terrorists is being carried out by security forces, including members of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF. Although just one terrorist’s corpse has been found so far, reports claim that three terrorists have been verified dead. It has been determined to carry out the operation since it is thought that the remaining terrorists are still lurking in the region.

Six Indian Army soldiers have been wounded in this operation so far. They were treated right away at the local military hospital, where their condition is reportedly stable. Modern technology is being used by the security forces because of Akhal’s difficult terrain and deep trees. Airborne surveillance is continuously carried out by the Army’s ‘Rudra’ helicopters and advanced drones. Not only are terrorists’ actions tracked around the clock, but security forces’ strategies are also determined based on this data.
Terrorists in the grasp of law enforcement
Senior army authorities claim that the location has been encircled on all sides and that the terrorists have no way out. Every hiding place is being extensively examined by the troops as they explore the woodlands. This operation’s extended length makes it abundantly evident that the terrorists have successfully concealed themselves and that their removal is taking time. Aside from this, the security forces are carefully considering every action with the least amount of harm and the protection of people in mind.
The terrorists’ backbone will be severed
According to experts, this operation will deal a serious blow to the terrorists and fortify the valley’s security system going forward. Although the situation in Kulgam’s Akhal region is still difficult right now, the security forces are making every effort to effectively conclude this operation as quickly as feasible. Additionally, locals have been urged to cooperate in order to return the region to normal.
