Jammu-Kashmir: Tributes paid to Havaldar J. Ali Shaikh who was martyred in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Udhampur
Jammu: Havaldar Jhantu Ali Shaikh, who died from his wounds during a clash between security forces and terrorists in the Udhampur area of Jammu and Kashmir, was honored Friday with a wreath-laying ceremony in Jammu. Terrorists and security personnel clashed Thursday in the Udhampur area of Jammu & Kashmir.

“A coordinated operation with Jammu and Kashmir was initiated in Basantgarh, Udhampur, based on particular information. After contact was made, a furious battle broke out. White Knight Corps, Indian Army, stated, X: “One of our Bravehearts suffered severe injuries during the first exchange and passed away in spite of the best medical care.”
According to official reports, security personnel began a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora area on Friday. Sources claim that a search operation is underway in the district’s Kulnar Bazipora neighborhood.
Security personnel and militants engaged in a fierce gunfight earlier in another operation on April 23, OP TIKKA, Baramulla. The security personnel stopped an attempt at infiltration and killed two terrorists. The terrorists were found to have a significant amount of firearms, ammunition, and other war-related supplies. The operation is underway.
Following the latest terror assault in Pahalgam, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will also go to Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir, to evaluate the security situation in the area.
The Army Chief is expected to meet with top Army commanders stationed in the Kashmir Valley as well as representatives from other security agencies, according to defense sources.
He will be examining the current state of security in the valley and the Pakistan Army’s efforts to breach the ceasefire along the Line of Control.
After the April 22 incident in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, the Indian Army is on high alert and has launched several search operations to neutralize the terrorists.
Nationwide indignation has been triggered by the occurrence, and rallies calling for tougher sanctions against Pakistan for the Pahalgam assault have broken out all throughout the nation.
