Indian Army retaliates with force to “unprovoked” firing by Pakistan
Kashmir: According to authorities on Saturday, the Pakistan Army has fired “unprovoked” from its several stations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, calling for a suitable reaction from the Indian side.

On the intervening night of April 25 and 26, several Pakistan Army stations fired, causing Indian forces to retaliate with small weapons, the authorities said. There have been no recorded casualties.
According to authorities, the Indian Army immediately retaliated after Pakistan Army forces opened fire at many locations along the Line of Control on Friday.
“The Pakistan Army started small arms fire at a few locations along the Line of Control. The Indian Army replied to it well. There were no injuries, according to Indian Army authorities.
Defense expert DS Dhillon said on Friday that the Pakistani army’s fire along the Line of Control (LoC) is a strategy used by the neighboring nation to distract the Indian army’s attention, with the probable goal of withdrawing its soldiers.
According to officials on Saturday, security forces and Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) authorities destroyed the home of a suspect in the Pahalgam terrorist assault, which left 26 people dead and several more wounded.
Officials claim that the home of a suspect, Zakir Ahmad Ganie, in Mutalhama village in the Kulgam district was destroyed. It is thought that Ganie was a part of the terror incident in Pahalgam, which rocked the nation. According to the authorities, Gaine has been in operation since 2023.
The home of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Adil Thokar, also called Adil Guree, was destroyed earlier Friday.
It is thought that Adil Guree, a native of Guree village in the Bijbehara block of the Anantnag region of Jammu and Kashmir, was engaged in the Pahalgam assault, which murdered 26 people—mostly tourists, including a Nepalese person. The Anantnag Police have proclaimed him the most wanted and are offering a reward of Rs 20 lakh for any specific information that leads to his capture. In the case, two Pakistani nationals were also listed as most wanted.
Before returning to Jammu & Kashmir last year, Adil allegedly underwent terror training in Pakistan, where he had traveled illegally in 2018.
In a separate operation, security authorities detained two terrorist associates in the Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K), according to police sources on Saturday. Officials said the two were taken into custody from Thokerpora in the district’s Qaimoh region. We’re waiting for more information.
For the first time after the Pahalgam terror assault, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visited Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday to assess the security situation in the Union Territory.
This comes in the wake of the terrorist assault on visitors in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Meadow on April 22, which claimed the lives of 25 Indians and one Nepali and wounded several others.
After the April 22 incident in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, the Indian Army is on high alert and has launched several search operations to neutralize the terrorists.
Nationwide indignation has been triggered by the occurrence, and rallies calling for tougher sanctions against Pakistan for the Pahalgam assault have broken out all throughout the nation.
