Jammu: According to officials, the Indian Army successfully repelled the Pakistan Army’s unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control (LoC) on the evening of May 1-2 in the Naushera and Akhnoor sectors of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K), as well as in the areas across from Kupwara, Baramulla, and Poonch districts.

The Indian Army claims that the forces’ response to the Pakistan Army’s unjustified small weapons fire was appropriate and measured.

Since the Pakistan Army’s unprovoked small arms fire on the evening of April 25–26, India has effectively retaliated for eight days in a row.

In the past, the Indian Army successfully repelled Pakistan’s small weapons fire in the Uri and Akhnoor sectors of the area as well as in the Kupwara district across the Line of Control.

Following the terrorist incident, security personnel in the Rajouri area of J&K have increased their level of vigilance.

To find terrorists, joint search activities are being conducted in a number of forest areas, including border regions and woods.

Security personnel have established vehicle checkpoints and are thoroughly inspecting any suspicious cars on roads and highways.

According to defense officials, the Director General of Military Operations for India and Pakistan spoke over the hotline earlier Tuesday about Pakistan’s blatant ceasefire breaches.

According to sources, India forewarned Pakistan of the Pakistan Army’s unjustified ceasefire breaches along the International Border and the Line of Control (LOC).

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), India restricted its airspace on Wednesday to all aircraft registered in Pakistan and those flown by Pakistani carriers. This was a significant move in the wake of the terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed 26 lives.

India confirmed in a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) that any Pakistani-registered, operated, or leased aircraft, including military flights, would not be allowed to fly in Indian airspace between April 30 and May 23 (estimated length).
