Hyderabad-bound Lufthansa flight forced to return to Germany Frankfurt airport after bomb threat
New Delhi: After receiving a bomb threat, police claimed, a Lufthansa aircraft that was supposed to arrive at Hyderabad airport on Monday had to do a U-turn and go back to Frankfurt airport in Germany.

Lufthansa Airlines claimed that they ‘did not obtain clearance to land,’ while a Hyderabad airport official said that the aircraft had received a bomb threat. aircraft LH752 had left Germany and was supposed to arrive at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday.
“We did not receive a permit to land in Hyderabad, and that’s why the aircraft took a U-turn and returned,” Lufthansa Airlines informed the media.
The flight returned to Germany since the bomb threat was received while the aircraft was still outside Indian airspace, according to a Hyderabad airport official.
According to airport officials, a similar occurrence occurred on June 13 when an Air India aircraft from Phuket, Thailand, headed for Delhi, got a bomb threat and had to make an emergency landing on the island. Before being rerouted, Air India flight AI 379 was en route to New Delhi after departing Phuket at 9:30.
