Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the IAF are giving a befitting reply to Pakistan
Sindhudurg: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces (IAF) are responding appropriately to Pakistan in the face of rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

After Shinde and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis performed aarti at the dedication of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Rajkot, Shinde made this statement.
“The pooja we performed at the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will inspire everyone who visits it. It represents Maharashtra’s pride and bravery. The previous statue here was unveiled by PM Modi. In keeping with the philosophy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the PM and our Army are responding appropriately to Pakistan,” Shinde told the media source.
Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that Maharashtra’s security plans were following the war book’s guidelines and that he had directed all district administrations to make the necessary preparations amid India-Pakistan tensions.
“The whole security evaluation has been taken. Together with Shinde and other state representatives, I have spoken about security preparations. We are adhering to the War Book’s guidelines and adjusting all security measures appropriately. Accordingly, all district administrations have been directed to make all necessary preparations,” he said.
Targeting nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK), the Indian Armed Forces declared Operation Sindoor on May 7. In reaction to the terror assault in Pahalgam on April 22, Operation Sindoor was launched.
The tensions between India and Pakistan during the last three to four days are no less than a war, according to Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai on Sunday.
He honored the five jawans who died as a result of Pakistani shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) and civilian casualties. According to him, the Pakistan Army may be attempting to damage the army installations by infiltrating over the Line of Control.
“What has been happening over the last three to four days is on par with a war. The nations’ air forces don’t fly in the air and attack one another under normal conditions. Normally, terrorists are the ones that infiltrate beyond the Line of Control. At a news conference held here, Ghai said, “We have information that the Pakistani army may also be involved in infiltration across the Line of Control, which is trying to harm our posts.”
“My five departed brothers and colleagues in the military and civilians who unfortunately perished in Operation Sindoor have my deepest respect. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased. “Their sacrifices will never be forgotten,” he said.
India has shown tremendous prudence while concentrating only on non-escalatory measures, the DGMO cautioned. The nation will respond forcefully to any challenge to its sovereignty.
