Agartala: The primary goal of the current state government, according to Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, is to provide high-quality education. Saha made this statement after officially opening the new Amtali H.S. School building. Later today, the new Henry Derozio Academy, Gandhigram H.S. School, Taltala H.S. School, Indranagar High School, and Nandan Nagar H.S. School buildings were virtually opened on the Amtali H.S. School grounds.

At a cost of more than Rs 1.31 crores, he said, the state government had set up sanitary napkin dispensing machines in 455 schools and, under the Rani Laxmibai Self-Defense Training Program, trained 1.42 lakh female students in 2,058 schools in self-defense.

He said that as Earth is the only planet inhabited by humans, we must emphasize the value of its flora and wildlife in order to protect it.

“The history of trees must be known to us. We are starting to realize the importance of nature, which PM Modi has constantly urged us to preserve. We shall have a lot of issues if our ecological balance is not preserved. For this reason, the Ministry of Education Department is launching a QR code for flora from April 22 to 30 so that consumers and children may scan it and learn about trees.

Technology is essential. Our current method of instructing pupils will no longer work; we need to change it. Education is the area that our state government prioritizes the most. Development and advancement are impossible without education. In order for any nation or state to advance, our government and education department must strive towards the general advancement of education, Dr. Saha said.

The National Education Policy 2020 was put into effect 34 years after independence, according to Dr. Saha, the state’s education minister.

“In order to help the next generation, not only in schools but also in universities. We have placed a strong focus on and implemented digital education via Vidya Jyoti School, NCERT, the Vande Bharat channel, and smart courses. The current state government’s main goals are to provide high-quality education and efficiently execute numerous programs.

The establishment of 30 more schools is planned for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. 56 elementary schools and 67 secondary schools will be built as part of the infrastructure development. We’ve made the decision to hire more teaching and non-teaching personnel,” he said.

Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Paul, Special Secretary of the Education Department, Director of Secondary Education Raval Hamendra Kumar, NC Sharma, and others were present at the ceremony, according to the CMO release.
