He cited the Pulwama assault in 2019 as an example of how Indian troops carried out air and surgical strikes inside Pakistan in a matter of days. He also brought up the recent Pahalgam incident, pointing out how quickly the army destroyed terrorist hideouts.

“India has changed and is now responding appropriately. Although terrorist attacks had occurred in the nation prior to these eleven years, it was just said that they shouldn’t have occurred. However, things have changed since then. Our army invaded Pakistan and conducted an airstrike and a surgical strike a few days after the heinous assault on our men in Pulwama. We saw the destruction of terrorist hideouts by our soldiers during the Pahalgam incident. “The entire nation is supporting the government and army, and the terrorists are receiving a suitable response,” he said.

Important discussions between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan were conducted Monday at 5 p.m., during which topics pertaining to upholding the agreement that no side may fire a shot or launch an aggressive operation were covered.

Additionally, it was decided that both sides should take quick action to guarantee a decrease in the number of troops from the advanced regions and borders.

Concerns about upholding the agreement that neither side may fire a shot or take any hostile or aggressive action against the other were deliberated. Additionally, it was decided that both sides should take prompt action to guarantee a decrease in the number of troops from the front regions and borders,” the Indian Army said.

Originally planned for Monday at midday, the DGMO-level discussions between the two nations were rescheduled for the evening. After Pakistan’s DGMO called his Indian counterpart, Lt. Gen. Rajiv Ghai, the two nations came to an agreement on Saturday to halt military action and fire.

Speaking to the media at a joint news conference, Lt. Gen. Ghai said that his Pakistani counterpart suggested that “we cease hostilities” during a Saturday encounter.

“After he suggested that we end hostilities, I spoke with the Pakistan DGMO at 15:35 yesterday (Saturday), and as a consequence, both sides agreed to stop cross-border shooting and air incursions starting at 17:00 on May 10. We also agreed to talk further about the methods that would allow this understanding to last until May 12 at 12:00 p.m.,” Lt. Gen. Ghai said.

Unfortunately, as was to be anticipated, the Pakistan Army violated these agreements in a matter of hours by shooting over the border and across the Line of Control (LoC), followed by drone incursions yesterday night and early this morning (Sunday). Strong responses were given to these infractions,” he said.

According to Lt. Gen. Ghai, a hotline message was used to notify his counterpart of the infractions. India made it plain that it will react “fiercely” if the same thing were to happen again, and the Chief of Army Staff has given the Army Commanders complete power to do so.

After a horrific terror incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, last month that claimed 26 lives, India began Operation Sindoor on May 7 and targeted nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
