Before Akshaya Tritiya, a flag pole was installed on the main peak of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple with due rituals
Ayodhya: In accordance with the customs, Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, erected the flagpole atop the temple’s main peak in advance of Akshay Tritiya 2025.

According to the Hindu calendar, the 42-foot-long flagpole was erected on Vaishakh Shukla Dwitiya at 8 a.m. by 6:30 a.m., the flagpole installation procedure began, and it was finished by 8:00 a.m. The temple is believed to be 161 feet tall, including the summit kalash; a 42-foot flagpole has also been installed.
Images from the ceremony were posted on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra’s official ‘X’ account.
“Today, the flag pole was placed atop the main shikhar of the Mandir on Vaishakh Shukla Dwitiya, Vikrami Samvat 2082, which is Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 8 AM. The ‘X’ post said, “The flag pole is forty-two feet high.”
In the meanwhile, work on the Ram temple in Ayodhya is moving quickly; flagpoles have been erected and the temple’s summit is already finished.
By the end of April, all seven mandaps should be finished, according to Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra. We anticipate the arrival of the Ram Darbar idols in May. All of the idols have arrived at the building site, and the work is moving forward quickly.
Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai told ANI, “The Sun God temple is on the southwest corner of Parajota, while the Lord Shiva temple is being built on the northeast corner. All of the idols have arrived, and it is anticipated that all seven mandaps will be finished in the ten days of April. The completion date is October 2025. It is anticipated that Ram Darbar will come in May.
