At the CM Conclave in New Delhi, the National Democratic Alliance endorsed a resolution supporting Operation Sindoor
New Delhi: During Sunday’s CM Conclave in New Delhi, the National Democratic Alliance adopted a resolution supporting Operation Sindoor. Eknath Shinde, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, accepted a resolution proposed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

Twenty chief ministers and eighteen deputy chief ministers from different states attended the NDA CM conference.
The resolution covered the valiant actions of the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership abilities.
The Indian Armed Forces’ operations on Pakistan’s terror hideouts were commended, and the motion was approved by a solid majority during the conference. ‘Sashakt Bharat, Samarth Bharat, and Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is the goal being pursued under PM Modi’s leadership, according to the plan.
An important topic of debate during the NDA CM conference was marking the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, which was proclaimed on June 25, 1975. In honor of the Emergency enforced by then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, which subjected residents to massive political unrest and the repression of civil freedoms, leaders decided to commemorate the occasion.
In 2024, the government said that June 25 would be commemorated every year as “Constitution Murder Day” in honor of the Emergency, a sobering period in the history of the country.
In order to suppress political opposition and preserve order, then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency during which basic liberties were suspended and stringent censorship was enforced.
The Emergency’s legacy serves as a constant reminder of how brittle democratic liberties are and how important it is to protect them against authoritarian inclinations.
Conclave leaders also approved two important resolutions, one of which supported the current caste census program and the other of which praised the military for its involvement in Operation Sindoor.
Among the prominent figures at the NDA CM’s conclave were Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
