The loss of seven devotees as a result of a wall collapsing during Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy’s Chandanotsavam saddens me much. The Chief Minister said, “My sincere condolences to the families of those who perished in this incident because of the wall collapsing from heavy rains.”

He has previously communicated with the Superintendent of Police and the District Collector, reaffirming his commitment to providing care for the wounded and monitoring the situation closely.

“I have discussed the issue there with the SP and the District Collector. I have mandated that the wounded get medical attention. “I am periodically assessing the situation,” CM Naidu’s tweet also said.

“This is an unfortunate incident,” Andhra Home Minister and Disaster Management Minister Anitha Vangalapudi told the media report earlier today as she assessed the situation.

Vinay Chan, the principal secretary of the Endowment Department, told them, according to media reports, that the early morning rain might have affected the wall.

Therefore, it is inappropriate for us to draw conclusions about the incident’s causes. On the surface, we have seen rain in the early hours of 2:30 to 3:30 am. We are looking into what happened. We have removed all the debris. The rescue effort is complete,” Chan informed the media.

Early this morning, during the Chandanotsavam celebration at the Sri Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Visakhapatnam, a 20-foot section of a temporary construction fell, resulting in seven fatalities and four injuries.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted the search and rescue, according to an official.
