Ajay Rai asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against MP Cabinet Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, calling his comment an insult to women, the army, and the nation’s citizens.

“The insult from Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, who raised the country’s esteem, saddens the nation. The ladies, the soldiers, and the nation’s citizens are all insulted by her. Ajay Rai stated, “I implore PM Modi to act against such a leader and suspend him right away.”

This follows Kunwar Vijay Shah’s offensive comment against Colonel Sofia Qureshi, who briefed the media during Operation Sindoor, causing a commotion.

“Those who widowed our daughters [in Pahalgam], we sent a sister of their own to teach them a lesson,” Shah had said while speaking at an occasion.

Following his statement, the state minister said, “I am not a God; I’m too human, and I apologize ten times.”

“My entire background is from the military,” the Minister remarked in an interview with the media on Tuesday on the controversy. Numerous members of my family served in the military and were martyred. My true sister, who practiced the national religion and exacted retribution on those individuals, is subordinate to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. My real sister is not as essential as Qureshi. If anything slipped out of my exuberance and injured someone, I would want to sincerely apologize. I had nothing in mind. I apologize 10 times, not once.

“People from every community worked for the nation, and I am a patriotic man,” the minister said. If someone feels hurt by anything I said out of rage, I would want to clarify that I am a person, not a deity. I apologize for it 10 times over.

Additionally, he cautioned against interpreting his comments in a different light.

“Those who remove the sindoor of our sisters—the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack—in their language have received a response from our prime minister. They had retaliated, in their own words for what had happened to our sisters. Please do not interpret my remarks in a different way. I would want to inform those who are interpreting it in a different way that it is not in that context. The minister told the media outlet, “They are our sisters, and they have retaliated with great strength alongside the Armed Forces.”
