Militant killed in Kulgam: Terrorist Killed, Indian Army JCO Injured in Fresh Encounter in J&K’s Kulgam District

Militant killed in Kulgam: An encounter in the Guddar region of the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the death of one insurgent and the injuries of three army troops, including a Junior Commissioned Officer.

Army, police, and paramilitary CRPF soldiers conducted a coordinated search operation in the Guddar forest of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district today, according to the army, based on specific information provided by the police.

Troops noticed suspicious behavior during the search, and militants opened fire when they were questioned. An encounter resulted with the soldiers returning the fire.

A terrorist was killed in the ensuing firefight. A JCO was among the three army troops wounded in the shooting. The wounded troops are at the hospital.

The Chinar Corps said that “one terrorist has been eliminated and a junior commissioned officer has sustained injuries,” but the operation is still in progress.

To strengthen the siege, more soldiers have been sent to the scene.
