Kaur’s BMW struck a bike in Delhi Sunday afternoon, killing senior government official Navjot Singh. Images showed her being assisted into a police car after being taken from a hospital in GTB Nagar where she was receiving treatment for minor wounds.

The 38-year-old Gaganpreet was in the vehicle with her husband, 40-year-old Parikshit Makkad, when the collision occurred close to the Delhi Cantonment metro station. It has been discovered that the pair operates a luxury goods company and resides in Gurugram. In the FIR, Parikshit is also mentioned.

52-year-old Navjot Singh was employed in the Union Finance Ministry as a deputy secretary. Yesterday, he and his spouse, Sandeep Kaur, went to the Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. After eating lunch at Karnataka Bhavan in RK Puram, the two were headed home when the collision happened. Sandeep said to the police that the BMW rear-ended their bike while speeding and flipped.

Gagandeep went with Navjot and Sandeep as they were driven to a hospital in a van. She repeatedly asked Gaganpreet to take them to the closest hospital, but she asked the van driver, a Good Samaritan named Gulfam, to drive to NuLife hospital in GTB Nagar, which is roughly 19 kilometers from the scene of the accident, according to what Sandeep told the police.

According to police sources, the hospital is co-owned by Gaganpreet’s father, and an inquiry is underway to see if there was an effort to silence the case. Despite claiming that all procedures were followed, the hospital administration would not verify Gaganpreet’s connection to the proprietors. Sources said that authorities believe Gaganpreet took Sandeep and Navjot to NuLife hospital in an effort to falsify medical records and other evidence.
