Elections – The Bharatiya Janata Party has drawn up an extensive two-day campaign schedule across West Bengal as part of its ongoing Parivartan Yatra, with several senior national and state leaders set to address public meetings on March 1 and 2. The outreach drive is being seen as a key step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections in the state.

Senior Leaders to Address March 1 Gatherings
The first day of the programme will witness multiple rallies spread across different regions. In Jhargram district, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is slated to speak at a public meeting near the Sarbamangala Temple in the Garbeta Assembly Constituency. The event is also expected to be attended by Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, who has been actively involved in the party’s state-level campaign efforts.
On the same day, a large public gathering has been scheduled in Purulia district. Senior leaders Annapurna Devi and Smriti Irani are expected to participate in the Jansabha, along with former West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh. Party sources said the meeting aims to strengthen grassroots mobilisation in the region.
In Nadia district, another key event will take place at Dignagar under the Krishnanagar Dakshin Assembly Constituency. BJP national president JP Nadda is scheduled to address party workers and supporters there. He will be joined by state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar, underscoring the party’s focus on coordinated campaigning between central and state leadership.
Outreach Expands to North Bengal
The Parivartan Yatra will also reach north Bengal on March 1. A public meeting has been planned at Rasmela Math in the Coochbehar Dakshin Assembly Constituency. BJP leader Nitin Nabin is expected to address the gathering in the Siliguri-Cooch Behar belt. State leaders Samik Bhattacharya and Union Minister Nishith Pramanik are also likely to attend the programme, reflecting the party’s attempt to consolidate support in the northern districts.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address a rally at Bhagabatipore in the Raidighi Assembly Constituency under Mathurapur in South 24 Parganas district. State BJP president Sukanta Majumdar will share the stage during the event.
