GIDA will soon come into existence, a plastic park being developed in the industrial corridor along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway

Plastic Park will soon be brought into existence by Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) to bring in a huge investment. This will be possible with the start of development work here. GIDA has issued a tender for infrastructure development here and the development work will be completed in eight months. With the completion of development work, allotment of plots will also start. There will be more than 90 industrial units in the plastic park being developed on 88 acres of land in the industrial corridor along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. More than five thousand people will get employment here. Approval has already been given by the Central Government.

Better facilities will be provided in the plastic park
Better facilities will be provided in the plastic park for the establishment of industrial units. Here 24 meters, 18 meters wide road, drain, and culvert will be made for the arrangement of drainage. A boundary wall will also be constructed for security purposes. Preparation for inviting an e-tender for power supply is underway. There will be 92 plots in this plastic park. Their area will range from 600 to 20 thousand square meters. After three months the process of allotment of plots will start. The possession will be given as soon as the development work is completed.


125 crores will be spent
About Rs, 125 crores will be spent on developing the Plastic Park scheme. The construction cost of the project is Rs 69.58 crore. The Government of India has given a grant of Rs 50 crore in this. The remaining amount will be given by GIDA.

The raw material will come from GAIL
GIDA has tied up with Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) to provide easy raw material to the units to be set up in the Plastic Park. The land will also be provided to GAIL to store raw materials. Along with this, a center of Central Petrochemicals Engineering and Technical Institute (CIPET) will also be opened here. In this center, research will be done on various products and youth will be trained and skilled to work in the plastics industry.

CEO Gida Pawan Aggarwal told that the plastic park will soon come in its shape. The tender has been floated for the infrastructure development works. The work will be completed in eight months. Allotment of plots for industrial units will also be started in three months. The establishment of units in the plastic parks will provide employment to five thousand people.
