Jammu and Kashmir: Border villages doubtful that Pakistani army will not stop aggression
Samba: Despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clear statement that Pakistan is “encouraged” by terrorism, the border villages remain skeptical, fearing that Pakistan‘s army will continue to attack because they have attempted to violate the agreement reached between the two nations.

Residents of a border community in Jammu’s Samba district claim to have heard explosions last night and to have seen splinters strike one of the homes. Following Pakistan’s bombardment, the impacted house’s kitchen and roof have also sustained damage. Local resident Dalbeer Singh said that Pakistan’s shelling was the reason for the ongoing dread.
“We heard sounds yesterday night, but we had no idea what they were. In the morning, we saw that something had occurred. The damage is minimal, however. When the explosion occurred, we were all at home. Later, the cops arrived and assessed the situation. The atmosphere is one of terror. Another resident, Krishan Chand, claimed to have been seated outdoors at the time of the explosion.
“Drones or whatever else that Pakistan deployed here detonated last night. Outside, we were seated. After the explosion, we fled inside our home. Later, we discovered the bomb’s remnants on the roof and in the kitchen. In addition to running, the ladies were cooking. Since we have no idea what could occur, there is a great deal of worry. If Pakistan rejects the ceasefire, the government needs to take action.
“I was trying to calm my kids when the drone firing happened,” claimed Prakar Singh, a resident of another border town. Pakistan isn’t prepared to consent.
During a blackout in Samba on Monday night, India’s air defense system caught Pakistani drones, causing red streaks and explosions. According to Army officials, a few drones had entered the Samba area and were being fought.
According to army sources, there is nothing to be concerned about since, in comparison, only a few drones have entered the Samba area and are being fought.
PM Modi blasted Pakistan on Monday for encouraging cross-border terrorism, claiming that “terror and talks” and “terror and trade” are incompatible.
Following the 2016 surgical strike and the 2019 airstrike, PM Modi said in his speech to the nation that Operation Sindoor is India’s counterterrorism strategy.
The prime minister said that “water and blood cannot flow together” and that India has placed the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan on hold in the wake of the Pahalgam terror assault.
