Director General Deepam Seth presided over an open house meeting with female officers hosted by Uttarakhand Police
Dehradun: Under the direction of Director General Deepam Seth, the Uttarakhand Police conducted an open house session with female officers in a historic move that was a major step in advancing gender inclusion and empowerment within the force.

Women officers from Sub-Inspectors to Inspector Generals of Police enthusiastically participated in the session, which was chaired by Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar.
At the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Chennai, a six-person Uttarakhand Police women’s team recently took part in the 11th National Women Police Conference (NCWP). They spoke about issues including professional growth, mental health, and work-life balance. Their observations influenced the conversation on establishing a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
Every Uttarakhandi person has been given the opportunity to benefit from a number of public welfare programs, including the Amrit Mission, PM Swanidhi Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, and Smart City Mission. DGP Ashok Kumar said, “in addition to this, with the fundamental motto of development and heritage, our rich cultural heritage.”
The DGP emphasized the importance of giving female officers options for professional advancement, such as specialized training and assignments in critical units like STF and Cyber Cell.
“Women personnel will play a greater role in Cyber Cell, STF, SOG, Narcotics Cell, and other vital units,” according to the DGP.
Women officers discussed their experiences juggling work and home obligations, emphasizing the need for accommodating work schedules and encouraging work environments.
In order to help women officers successfully balance their professional and family obligations, flexible work practices were emphasized. Sports, yoga, meditation, fitness programs, and routine health examinations were suggested as ways to support the physical and emotional wellness of female employees.
On May 20, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami also revealed intentions to digitize municipal offices in order to increase efficiency and transparency. The construction of Silver Jubilee Parks will provide residents access to recreational areas.
To prepare local women and men to open high-tech hair salons and parlors, a training program will be held. Ten high-tech salons in each municipal corporation, five in each municipality, and three in each Nagar Panchayat are the goals.
