CV Anand took oath as the Governor of West Bengal, Shubhendu Adhikari said – we had to return from the door
CV Anand took oath as the Governor of the state in Kolkata. During this, the Chief Minister of the state Mamta Banerjee was present. CV Anand met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other leaders of the state after taking oath as the state's governor in Kolkata. There has also been controversy regarding the swearing-in ceremony of the governor. The BJP has questioned the arrangements made by the state government. Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari said that while congratulating the Governor, I want to say that today I and Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar had reached Raj Bhavan for the oath ceremony but we had to return through the door.
Shubhendu Adhikari said that the West Bengal government made arrangements for the ministers of the state to sit in the swearing-in ceremony, if TMC MPs can be invited and can sit at the front then why Sukant Majumdar was not invited? He is also an MP. This is a shameful example of indecent politics that the leader of the opposition i.e. my chair was placed next to MLA Krishna Kalyani and Vishwajit Das who were elected on BJP ticket and later switched to TMC.
Explain that Bose, a retired Kerala cadre officer of the 1977 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), replaced La Ganesan as the governor. Ganesan was appointed as his successor in July after Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned as governor to contest the vice-presidential election.
